I was a Christian woman doing “all the right things” - but my heart didn’t feel healed.
Underneath my smile was a soul quietly unraveling.
My thoughts raced with shame and fear.
My sense of worth was built on how others responded to me.
I longed to be loved, but kept walls up so no one could hurt me.
I called it “faith,” but really - I was just trying to survive.
And I was so good at pretending I was okay.
I knew the Bible. I loved God. But I didn’t know how to let Him into the deeper parts of my soul that were still bleeding.
That all changed when God began to walk me through a healing journey that rewired how I thought, felt, and believed deep in my soul. Not just in my theology. Not just in my behavior. But in the core of who I was.

there was a version of me who was always trying to prove she was okay.
I lived for others’ approval and feared disappointing anyone.
I smiled on the outside but battled low self-worth behind closed doors.
I buried my needs, swallowed my feelings, and called it “faithfulness.”
I turned to every self-help book, every vision board, every “spiritual but not biblical” practice, just hoping something would finally fix the ache inside me.
But nothing ever stuck.
Because what I needed wasn’t a mindset hack.
I needed a Savior.
And when I met Jesus—really met Him—He didn’t just comfort me.
He transformed me

I’ve walked through seasons that almost took me out.
Seasons of heartbreak, disappointment, loss, and emotional burnout.
But in the midst of it all, God became my refuge—
not just in theory, but in experience.
And out of that messy, miraculous healing journey, He birthed The Set Free Academy.
This isn’t just a program—it’s a path to emotional and spiritual freedom.
It’s where women come home to themselves, to God’s truth, and to the peace they’ve been craving for decades.

A Note from My Heart to Yours

Most of the women I walk with look strong on the outside—but behind the scenes, they’re juggling invisible burdens and wondering if they’re failing at it all.

And still lying awake at night, asking God,

I get it. I’ve lived that tension too.
Trying to “manage it all” while silently feeling like something inside is breaking.
Longing for peace in the chaos, clarity in the confusion, and joy that isn’t just performative.
Wanting to end the day with a full heart instead of an exhausted one.
After years of trying everything to find fulfillment, I’ve learned this:
Peace doesn’t come from managing more. It comes from surrendering deeper.
The only lasting peace I’ve found is in trusting God—not just with my salvation, but with my emotions, my story, my nervous system, and my past pain.
What Brings Me Joy? Watching Women Come Alive Again.
There’s nothing more sacred to me than watching a woman release the pressure to have it all together—and finally let God hold her together.
When she chooses to trust Him in the middle of the storm,
When she lays down her survival strategies and picks up His promises,
When she shifts out of performance and into peaceful agreement with who He says she is…
That’s where everything begins to change.
Not overnight.
But steadily.
Powerfully.
Permanently.
My Prayer for You
As you move through this space, my deepest prayer is that you would feel seen, safe, and reminded that you don’t have to keep carrying this alone.
Jesus is not asking you to try harder.
He’s inviting you to be transformed.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”
—Romans 12:2
You have a God-given purpose on this earth.
And no amount of pain, failure, or overwhelm can cancel that calling.
You were made to live healed, whole, and fully alive in Christ.

Statement of Faith
I believe that true healing begins with truth - and truth begins with God.
The foundation of everything I teach and guide women through is grounded in the unshakable truth of Scripture and the love of our triune God. These beliefs are not just theological concepts to me—they are the living, breathing truths that have transformed my life.
I Believe…
🌿 The Bible is the inspired, living Word of God—without error in its original form and fully trustworthy as the final authority for faith and life. “All Scripture is God-breathed…” (2 Timothy 3:16) “…men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” (2 Peter 1:21)
🌿 God exists as One, in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—equal in power, eternal in nature, and perfect in unity. “But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth…” (John 15:26) “This is My beloved Son… the Spirit descended…” (Matthew 3:16–17)
🌿 God the Father is the Creator and Sustainer of all. He is holy, sovereign, and the very definition of love.
(Genesis 1:1, Psalm 104, Isaiah 41:10, Romans 8:14–15)
🌿 Jesus Christ is the Son of God—fully God and fully man. Born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again in victory. “Christ also suffered once for sins… the righteous for the unrighteous…” (1 Peter 3:18)
He now sits at the right hand of the Father and will return again in glory. (Matthew 28:5–7, Acts 1:9–11)
🌿 The Holy Spirit is our Comforter, Advocate, and Guide. He convicts us of sin, reveals the truth of Jesus, and leads believers into a life of freedom and holiness. “When He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth.” (John 16:13)
“He will glorify Me…” (John 16:14)
🌿 God is sovereign, all-powerful, all-knowing, and ever-present. He holds all things together and is never caught off guard. He is both holy and near.
🌿 The Great Commission is not optional—it is the heartbeat of the Church. God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, and our response is to carry that love to others. (John 3:16, Matthew 28:19–20)
🌿 We are called to love God and love people with everything we are. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart… and love your neighbor as yourself.” (Mark 12:30–31)
🌿 Salvation is a gift of grace—received by faith, not earned by works. It comes through believing in the finished work of Jesus Christ, repenting from sin, and surrendering to Him as Lord. (John 1:12, Romans 10:9–10, Ephesians 2:8–9) When we receive Him, we are made new—children of God, filled with His Spirit, and set apart for eternal life and Kingdom purpose..

Six months later: “My psychiatrist was amazed. I’ve never scored this low on anxiety and depression in 24 years. He asked for your information to refer others.”
This isn’t a surface-level mindset shift. This is soul-level healing.
Now I’ve had the honor of walking with hundreds of women across the globe. And every week, I receive messages like: “I didn’t know I could feel this light.”
“I finally know I’m loved - and I believe it.”
“I’ve stopped over-functioning and started resting.”
Simone went from people-pleasing and failed relationships to having inner joy, confidence and peace (and she helps her adult children with these things now too!)
Simone says, “I had two failed marriages and other unsuccessful relationships. I didn’t believe in myself and I was a big people pleaser. I’ve come so far…I feel like a different person! Now I believe in myself, I can set healthy boundaries and I am filled with grace and peace. I’ve got more joy and confidence and I can help my children with these things now.”
The narcissistic abuse Susan went through threatened to take her out, but being in The Academy for only 5 months resulted in lightness, joy and peace in her heart.
Susan says, “Before I came into the Academy I was depressed and everything felt like doom and gloom. I wanted to BELIEVE the positive things other people said about me but I couldn’t because I had been through so much narcissistic abuse. Now that I’ve been in the Program for 5 months, I don’t look at the world through black and white anymore…there’s colour…there’s lightness in me. I’m so glad I didn’t let the finances stop me because God has (and always does) make a way.”
Melissa went from a downward spiral of depression to overcoming her triggers so she could have more joy and peace in her life!
Melissa says, “I knew I needed help reframing my thoughts because I would end up in a downward spiral of funk, emotion and depression. I was sick of being afraid of people and situations and wanted to move forward. In the Program I’ve learned tools to work through and overcome triggers.
